ActiveBPEL® Designer User’s Guide

Using the Interfaces View to Create Activities

One of the key productivity features of Interfaces view is accessing WSDL operations for use in your process designs.

For example, you can display a list of WSDL port types and from them select an operation to drag directly to the Process Editor canvas. This action starts a wizard to help you create an appropriate activity as part of your process definition. There is no need to hand-code BPEL XML files. ActiveBPEL generates valid code as you make selections from the wizards.

For more information, see Creating an Activity by Starting with a WSDL Interface.

In addition, if no WSDL elements exist in Interfaces for an activity you want to create, you can select New Interface from the Interfaces toolbar. This action starts a wizard to help you create a new WSDL.

For more information, see Creating a New Interface.
