Displaying Swimlanes

A Swimlane is a view that shows a partner process correlated with your process. In essence a Swimlane displays a diagram that depicts the part of the partner’s process which faces your process. For example, if your process has a Receive activity, then the partner process must have an Invoke activity that is initiating that Receive. The flip side is an Invoke activity to invoke a partner’s Web service. In this case, the partner needs a Receive activity on the other side waiting for that message.

For more details, see Showing and Hiding Swimlanes.

The following illustration shows a Swimlane on the right and the relationship between partners.
