ActiveBPEL® Designer User’s Guide
Select Window>Preferences>ActiveBPEL>Identity Chooser to view the settings page.
This preference, which allows you to specify the location of an identity service, is currently used only with the ActiveBPEL for People Plugin and ActiveBPEL Enterprise with ActiveBPEL for People. For details, refer to the ActiveBPEL for People Plugin Online Help.
When the ActiveBPEL Enterprise server is running, you can open the People activity’s Identity Chooser dialog, and select Refresh. This action submits a request to the Identity Service enabled in ActiveBPEL Enterprise. The list of group names from your organization’s directory, or from your file-based identity service, is retrieved. The group names can be selected for a People activity’s potential owners and administrators.
On the Identity Chooser page of ActiveBPEL Preferences, you can define communication details for accessing the identity service needed for the ActiveBPEL for People Plugin Identity Chooser as follows:

Type in the Username credential, if needed, to access the ActiveBPEL Enterprise taskIdentityService. Your ActiveBPEL Enterprise administrator can provide the username and password associated with the abIdentityListConsumer role that enables security for the identity service from ActiveBPEL Designer. Information about this role is included in the Installation, Configuration, and Deployment guide for ActiveBPEL Enterprise. Note that the username and password may be the same one you type in when deploying a BPR file as a Web Service, as described in Deploying Your Process to ActiveBPEL Enterprise. |

Using the Identity Chooser
Use the Identity Chooser to return a list of groups in your organization for selecting potential owners or administrators in a People activity.
